The large cotton towel from the BORE collection in a beautiful burgundy-pink color is lightweight, thin, durable and quick-drying. It’s made from 100% cotton and a fabric called peshtemal.

Peshtemal is a traditional Turkish fabric known for its high absorbency, quick-drying properties, low weight and compactness—making it ideal for travel and activities like beach days, spa visits, saunas or sports. The secret to its absorbency lies in the unique quality of Turkish cotton, which has very long fibers. The more the fabric is used, the softer and more absorbent it becomes.

Dyed and washed using a special technique called “stonewash,” which creates a washed-out, vintage look. This technique uses controlled mechanical processes, including, for example, the use of pumice stones.

Made in Turkey in the Anatolia region which is known for its more than 600-year-old tradition of producing peshtemal on traditional looms.
